人稱阿嚴的嚴月蓮，出身基層女工，對邊緣、少數群體特別關注。在八十年代創立婦女勞工協會（女工會），深刻經歷過本港工業轉移、開創再訓培先河、抗擊女工轉型後面對的年齡歧視等問題。目睹性工作者受到濫權欺壓、歧視之苦，在每人也應有基本人權的信念下，在1997年成立紫藤，服務性工作者。絶對是「她。敢於改變」的人物之一。
We interviewed a few "She Dares to Change" figure for this Award, the first one is Yim Yuet Lin (Ah Yim), founder of Hong Kong Women Worker's Association and Zi Teng.
Ah Yim was a factory worker at her youth time, and thus has a special attention to situation of marginalized and minority groups. In the 80s, she started HKWWA and been through the local industrial shift, "invented" employee retraining with unemployed women worker, combated the age discrimination and other issues. In the 90s, she started Zi Teng, an organization that mission to protect basic human rights of sex workers.
後記：訪問阿嚴時，她強調不要在她頭頂放上光環，而且認為自己所做的改變實在不多。社會的進步及改變，是一個漫長的過程，亦是很多很多人一起努力的成果。她的真誠、謙厚和尖銳令人十分深刻！
Post script: Ah Yim emphasized that she did not think she had made much change to the society, and asked us not to portrait her as a "big shot" during the interview. Because she thought that promoting social change was a very long process, and was advanced by lots of people. What can we say, this sincere, sharp and humble woman just wins our heart completely!
